SOCIAL JUSTICE AND EQUITY

As a liberal arts institution nestled in the historic city of Charleston, SC, the College of Charleston has a unique responsibility. The city's close connection to African American history prompts the discussion of social justice and equity issues that exist in our society. This minor was designed to bridge that gap by providing a holistic and intellectually stimulating academic pursuit. Those who embark on this journey will leave the College inspired to create tangible (and equitable) change in their communities.
